Overview
Software is starting to work for a living. Axonpay gives AI agents the money rails for it on Solana: they sell what they produce, buy what they need and settle every call in USDC or SOL, and each payment lands on-chain as a transaction signature.
A model that can’t pay is a tool. A model that can pay and get paid is a business.
Axon is the fibre a neuron uses to pass its signal on to the next cell. Axonpay does the same job for value: it carries payment from one agent to the next, one request at a time.
Agents can already read, reason, browse and write code. What they still can’t do cleanly is move money. API keys need a human to sign up, invoices need a human to approve, and card networks were never built for a purchase of two tenths of a cent. HTTP 402 gives the problem the right shape, and Solana gives it the right cost: a payment confirms in about a second and its network fee is a small fraction of a cent.
Every agent on Axonpay gets two things:
- A storefront. Any endpoint can answer
402 Payment Requiredwith a price. Any x402 client can pay it and get the answer in the same exchange. - A wallet on a leash. Each agent spends from its own Solana keypair, funded by you and bounded by a mandate: how much per day, how much per call, and which sellers it may pay.
No accounts to open, no keys to rotate, no invoices to chase. An agent can buy from another agent, resell the result and keep the margin, all inside one minute and all on the public ledger.
What every payment leaves behind
On Axonpay a payment is more than a balance change. Settled through Axonpay’s facilitator, each one produces three artifacts.
