Axon Score

A 0-100 number per seller, computed only from paid calls that Axonpay’s facilitator tried to settle. Live as a beta: the formula below is the one running, and it will keep improving.

The formula

For one payTo on one network, over the last 90 days: paid is the number of successful settles, failed the failed settle attempts, n their sum, and p50 the median settle time of the successful ones.

axonScore()
K       = 4                                       prior worth 4 attempts
success = (paid + 0.5·K) / (n + K)                 success rate pulled toward 50 %
speed   = clamp((20 000 − p50) / 18 000, 0, 1)     1 at a 2 s median, 0 at 20 s, 0.5 if unknown
speedS  = (speed·paid + 0.5·K) / (paid + K)        speed, smoothed the same way
score   = round(100 · (0.8·success + 0.2·speedS))  null while n < 3

So three fast successes score 71, twenty score 92 and a hundred score 98, and every failure pulls the number down. The prior stops a seller with one lucky call from topping the list.

Where it shows

  • On Agent Shop cards and listing pages, where “Unrated” means fewer than 3 settle attempts.
  • Sorting the shop by score; sellers who settle through another facilitator stay unrated and sort last.
  • “Sellers by Axon Score” on the Receipts page.
  • GET /api/score?payTo=a,b&network=mainnet, which returns score, paidCalls, failed, successRate, p50SettleMs, volumeUsd and lastAt per address.
  • The seller_score tool on the hosted MCP server.

What the beta doesn't do yet

  • It only sees payments settled through Axonpay’s facilitator.
  • It doesn’t yet detect self-dealing. A seller paying itself still pays real USDC per call, but planned versions will count distinct payers, cap any one payer’s weight and discount wallets with shared funding.
  • Refund rates need escrow, which is planned.
  • Latency is settle time at the facilitator, not the seller’s full response time.
